X-Skills Receives Collaboration Grant from the Province of Noord-Holland for Innovative Sports Technology
At X-Skills, we believe in the power of technology to elevate sports and talent development. That’s why we are incredibly proud to announce that we have received a collaboration grant from the Province of Noord-Holland! With this support, we can further develop and expand our X-Skills software platform, taking a major step toward the digitalization and personalization of sports training.
X-Skills is an innovative modular platform that combines hardware and software to measure, analyze, and improve sport-specific skills. Our interactive lighting systems, the X-Skills Beam and the newly developed Gates system, enable objective quantification of ball control, speed, reaction time, and other athletic abilities. Through gamification, real-time data analysis, and machine learning, we create personalized training programs tailored to the needs of players, coaches, and clubs.
The collaboration grant enables us to further develop our technology and make it accessible to a wide range of users—from amateur footballers and hockey players to physiotherapists and talent development programs. Some of the key innovations we can achieve with this grant include:
✅ Advanced software platform – A user-friendly application that allows players to track their performance, receive analyses, and follow personalized training programs.
✅ The Gates: New hardware for broader sports measurements – This system will measure sprint times, jumping power, and reaction speed with high precision, providing deeper insights into sports performance.
✅ Machine learning & AI-driven training – Smart algorithms will automatically adjust training programs based on progress and performance, eliminating the need for constant manual intervention by a coach.
✅ NFC integration for fast and secure data processing – Players can easily log in and store their performance data using NFC wristbands, ensuring efficient and secure data management.
In modern sports, data plays an increasingly significant role. While elite athletes already use advanced analytics to optimize their performance, this technology often remains out of reach for amateur clubs and young athletes. X-Skills is changing that. By offering automated and personalized training, we make high-quality sports technology accessible to everyone.
Moreover, the platform offers opportunities beyond sports fields—it can be used in rehabilitation, talent identification, and even educational programs to help children move and learn through play.
With the support of the Province of Noord-Holland, we are taking the next steps to further improve X-Skills and make it available on a larger scale. Our ambition is to collaborate with sports clubs, physiotherapists, and educational institutions to usher in a new era of data-driven sports training.
